Luke is in high demand as a music director, arranger, vocal coach and accompanist. He holds a Bachelor of Music from the Queensland University of Technology (where he also studied Theatre and Acting), a Masters in Contemporary Music from the Queensland Conservatorium, and trained in music direction at the Tony Award®-winning Goodspeed Musicals (USA).
Highlights as music director include THE OWL & THE PUSSYCAT: An Opera For Children (Little Match Productions), A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC (Brisbane Philharmonic Orchestra), RENT (Queensland Conservatorium), COMPANY and LITTLE WOMEN (Ignatians Musical Society), LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS(Brisbane Arts Theatre), and SONGS FOR A NEW WORLD (Phoenix Ensemble). He provided arrangements and music direction for nationally-touring cabarets DOLL, COOL BRITANNIA and TEENAGE DREAMS, and is the arranger, orchestrator and music supervisor of Brisbane-penned musical ON THE DOCKS, currently in development.
Outside of musical theatre, Luke has toured nationally with the Underground Opera Company and OperaQ Open Stages, and has music directed the Universal Monsters Live Rock & Roll Show® and the Hogwarts™ Frog Choir for Universal Studios Japan®. As a pianist, Luke has played on various touring productions, performed with the Queensland Symphony Orchestra, was official accompanist for the Australian Musical Theatre Workshop and the International Congress of Voice Teachers, and has worked with such celebrated artists as Rhonda Burchmore, Kristin Chenoweth, Philip Quast, and Jason Robert Brown.
Luke also offers repertoire and audition coaching.
Trevor Jones is currently a Lecturer in Musical Theatre at the Queensland Conservatorium, Griffith University. Previously, he was a faculty member at the Victorian College of the Arts, the Artistic Director of CitiOpera (formerly Melbourne City Opera) until the end of 2015 and he founded the choral ensemble Choristry in 2008. He is currently working towards a PhD focussing on Coaching Opera Singers in Musical Theatre Song.
Trevor is in demand around Australia and internationally as a musical director, conductor, arranger, educator and performer. He was the recipient of the 2011 Brian Stacey Award for Emerging Australian Conductors and works in a wide variety of musical styles and genres, spanning opera, musical theatre, choral music and contemporary commercial music. Trevor has regularly toured internationally, conducting large scale concert tours in major venues throughout mainland China with Broadway performers including Lisa Vroman and Brad Little as well as Australian singers and orchestral musicians.
Trevor was Head of Voice and Associate Musical Director of the Victorian State Schools Spectacular from 2011 - 2014. Professional Musical Theatre credits include Avenue Q (Prince Moo Productions), 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee (Vic Theatre Company, 2016), Dogfight (Doorstep Arts, 2016), Next to Normal (Doorstep Arts, 2014), Titanic (Ballarat, 2012) and Dear World (Magnormos Productions, 2011). He was also the Musical Director of Twisted Broadway in 2017 featuring many of Australia's leading musical theatre performers.
As a performer, Trevor has hosted regular nights at The Butterfly Club and Chapel off Chapel. He has performed as a piano bar entertainer around the world and in cabaret shows in major festivals and venues around Australia.
